Copperband Butterflyfish

I rarely leave reviews but this one deserves it. So I bought two fishes. Pyramid butterfly and the Copperband butterfly. The pyramid is pretty hardy and is doing well as well excepted but what I was impressed by is the copperband. Its eating well, grazing on rocks and doing fantastic. The store owner couldn’t have picked a better Copperband. In my experience it is never a good idea to have that fish shipped because it stresses out easily but not this one. Its eating Mysis and Brine. The owner was very responsive. Kudos to the owner and all of thier staff !

I mostly don’t believe when sites say fish are guaranteed to eat especially with copper bands but I figured that I’d give it a try. It eats blood worms really well and has made it through my own 2 week quarantine with copper, still eating throughout the way. It seems to mostly only eat blood worms as a frozen food but has ate my other foods. It also picks at nori relatively aggressively when it wants to. Overall very happy with the fish itself.

I must have gotten the runt of the litter. Fish arrived healthy and swims but will not eat anything I put in the tank. No mysis, eggs, worms, nada….. will see how long it survives but I bought from here given the reputation of them eating frozen mysis but must have just gotten bad luck.

The Copperband Butterflyfish arrived disease free and conditioned. It began eating frozen foods the evening after arrival and days later eats voraciously. Reef Pro is the only vendor I will purchase fish from in the future!
