Reef Pro Phytoplankton

Reef Pro’s phytoplankton is of the nannochloropsis species. This is the best kind of phytoplankton for your marine organisms. Nannochloropsis is popularly harvested and used in many industrial applications since it is one of the only microalgaes to be able to accumulate high levels of polyunsaturated fatty acids, making it a great source of protein for fish larvae, pods, rotifers, and filter feeders alike and promote the growth and vibrancy of many corals.

Our phytoplankton is cultured using deionized water and pharmaceutical grade salt mix, at a salinity of 1.020 sg.

Directions: Before use, shake bottle, shut skimmer off for 1 hour and dose.

Storage: DO NOT FREEZE. Keep Refrigerated between 35-45 degrees F. Phytoplankton will stay alive for up to 2 months in the refrigerator. Shake the bottle at least once a day to prevent the phytoplankton cells from falling out of suspension and collecting on the bottom. If left to collect on the bottom some of the organisms may become smothered and die.

First Aid:

Keep out of reach of children. Irritating to eyes. In case of contact with eyes, rinse immediately with plenty of water and seek medical advice. If swallowed seek medical advice immediately and show this container or label.

Recommended Dosage: Minimum recommended dose 4 ML per 5 gallons. It is recommended to dose this 3 times a week.
